The Baitul Ikram mosque in Leicester was Inaugurated by Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad on 20th February 2016 with a capacity of 300 worhippers. The mosque is the first Ahmadiyya purpose built mosque in East Midlands region. The mosque was built because of the opportuity to aqquire the neighboring buildings to extend the prayer center and officially convert the center into a purpose built mosque. The Ahmadiyya muslim community Uk raised above £1M for the project.
