This is the first ever Mosque of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community built in Ghana. As the Masons in Ghana did not know how to build a mosque so they built it according to the structure of a church and replaced the cross with a crecent and a star on the tower. Ekumfi-Ekrawfo is the place where Chief Mahdi Appa accepted Islam Ahmadiyyat.
